Who does not know the famous Mexican telenovela Marimar? May you have seen it full or not, several are still familiar with the pretty lady who resided in the seashore and dreams big in life. I bet many millennials are named after Marimar and Sergio, the two iconic main characters of the show that made everyone go crazy.
And possibly it is not only about the uniqueness of the telenovelas that made the show hit during their time. Apart from the plot– rags to wealth and revenge of the poor type of story, the main lead of the series, Thalia has captivating charm.
That is why when the Philippines has to take an actress for the remake, they grasp getting Marian Rivera is the best choice.
But the difficulty of choosing characters does not end with Marian only. Apart from the main cast, they also had to precisely pick who’s going to play Marimar’s daughter, Cruzita’s role.
Chesca Salcedo, who was then an excellent fit for the role suited the ultimate child star of her time after her big break in Marimar.
After the show, Chesca had done numerous advertisements and projects until she gradually withered off from the camera.

Apparently, Chesca is still taking some jobs in the showbiz.
Her last project was last year, 2019 in the film Black Lipstick.
She also played in Amaya, Trudis Liit, and her most famous character so far, Norilyn from Kamnbal Karibal.
She is now 18 years old and is occupied with her studies, but still has her fans updated on her social media account, particularly on Tiktok.
She had blossomed into a gorgeous woman and knows how to sing well too!
