An old lady recently went viral after she was found begging in the roads to support her granddaughter buy the requirements for her online class. The little girl is already an orphan; thus, the old woman had no option but to beg so the girl could still attend school even if they don’t have money.

Jhonroe Yu Cabildo posted that he was at Monumento Station Caloocan to pass his requirements when he spotted the old woman, later recognized as Lola Laida Gracias of Brgy. 160 in Caloocan City.

Despite her age, Lola Laida was there on the roads in beliefs that people will take compassion on her and give her some cash.
It came out that Lola Laida is doing this for her granddaughter, Princess Jasmine. The 11-year-old girl is having difficulty using her broken cellphone for her online classes but has no choice since they don’t have money.

The girl no longer has parents and Lola Laida is the only one who could support her because her grandfather is sick. With no stable income, Lola Laida could only beg in the streets for her husband and granddaughter.

She confesses to feeling a bit embarrassed that she has to beg money, but Lola Laida stated that she does not force anyone to give her any money and that she does not blame the barangay officials if they can’t help the family because they also have other people to worry about.
Taking pity on Lola Laida and Princess Jasmine, Jhonroe shared their story in hopes that netizens will provide them with the help they needed for the girl’s online classes and the family’s day-to-day needs.
He said that he was only able to give the family a small amount of money but through his social media post, he was able to connect them with kindhearted netizens…
