Wearing accessories or jewelry finished their fashion statement for some people. May it be through occurrences or just average stroll the nearby mall, fashionistas just see to it that their outfit is complimented by pairing accessories.
But, have you ever considered having the need to remove one or more of your fingers just because one or more “rings” stayed too long on it?
Photos of a middle-aged man from Thailand went viral online. This is after the netizens saw photos showing the man’s inflated hands and a stack of rings and rubber bands on all his fingers.
World of Buzz mentioned that the man might have been using and wearing those rings on his fingers for several years. This produced a lack of blood flow in his fingers.
As a result, his fingers grew purple and swollen, which eventually started to necrosis – the loss of most or all of the cells in an organ or tissue due to disease, injury, or failure of the blood supply.
His status later got worse that he was even considered as someone who is incapable to work. Despite all of his misery, he still did not ask assistance until someone requested a charity organization to take him to the hospital.
Because the rings were all adhered to his fingers like glue, rescuers had to saw apart from the metal and plastic rings that were compressing his fingers very tightly. After a few hours, they resulted in removing all of the rings.
In the end, most of his fingers were released, but unhappily, some of his fingers had to be removed.
The man must have undergone from intolerable pain for the most years of his life. It was a good thing that there are people who came to save him. We wish and pray for the fast recovery of this man and may his experience be a lesson to everyone else out there.
