On Friday, the family and friends of the former mayor requested for prayers after he was allegedly rushed to a hospital due to the c0ronav!rus disease.
According to Lim's grandson after posting on Facebook last Friday, Manila District 1 Councilor Niño dela Cruz, “prayers of healing and the speedy recovery” of his grandfather.
The post, though, was deleted after a few minutes.
Lim was acknowledged as the Philippines' “Dirty Harry” because of his tough stand on crimes when he was a police official and later as director of the National Bureau of Investigation.
He worked two terms as Manila mayor before being selected as an interior secretary and being elected as a senator.
